Solomon Islands . Early Works

 

​Honiara, the capital of the Solomon Islands, was during 4 years Séverine Burgers' home base. She picked up a paintbrush for the first time at this isolated island in the middle of the Pacific.

Strongly influenced by the vibrant and tropical nature, the authenticity and the curiosity of the indigenous Solomon Islanders stimulated her to capture her inner impressions and the abundance of the outer world.
